I heard, your shy and halting heart
I heard,
your shy and halting heart.
From such a quiet start,
you gave yourself entirely
and raised the idle fire in me.
I see,
your curiosity.
We meld so blissfully,
mingling spirit, body, mind;
that’s not a common thing to find.
Maybe,
our souls have met before,
prior lifetimes, other shores,
and made a pact to overcome
the obstacles that block our love.
Poets,
far more skilled than I,
have been inspired by
the distant stars and fairydust,
and written sonnets meant for us.
Thirsty for
your sweat upon my skin,
let’s drink each other in.
My fingers touch your face and lips
we linger in a blazing kiss.
Take me,
into your mystic core,
where no one’s kissed before.
Inundate me with your presence
in a flame of burning essence!
Shining,
with everything we are;
a binary star.
Desire spans our life sublime;
the fire fanned will never die.
