When we’re wise

Art  - Larry Poncho Brown, Every Round Goes Higher

When we’re wise,
we heed the need
           to shift our lives
                             emotionally;
to sense
our vulnerability,
           we gift ourselves
                             with poetry.
Certain verses
shine from core;
           they’re too sublime for
                             spoken form…
we know
our souls want more,
           and so, it’s then my friends
                             our songs are born.
